“If everything around you seems dark, look again, you may be the light." - Rumi

As I slowly recover from my shoulder surgery with my independence hugely hampered because of me being in the wheelchair the world appears shrouded in shadows and uncertainty, it is often difficult to see beyond the darkness. Yet, in these moments of obscurity, Rumi's wise words remind us to pause, to look deeper, and to consider a different perspective - one that illuminates the possibility that within us lies a light that can dispel even the darkest of shadows.

For those facing the complexities of disability or other personal problems and confronting obstacles that seem insurmountable, this quote holds a special resonance. It speaks to the inherent strength and resilience that reside within each individual, reminding us that despite external circumstances, we possess an inner light that can guide us through even the most challenging of times.

When faced with adversity, it is natural to feel overwhelmed, to question our abilities, and to doubt the brightness of our own spirits. But in these moments, it is crucial to remember that within us burns a flame of unwavering courage, of unwavering hope, and of unwavering grace. It is this light that empowers us to rise above our circumstances, to chart a path forward, and to inspire those around us with our resilience.

So, as we being a new week let us take a moment today to pause, to reflect, and to reconnect with our being. Let us recognize the brilliance that shines within us, the spark that lights our way, and the strength that carries us through even the darkest of nights. And in this recognition, may we find solace, may we find courage, and may we find the unwavering belief that no matter how dark the world may seem, we are, indeed, the light that can pierce through the shadows and illuminate the way forward.
